MediaCorp is really brilliant of utilizing the many social networks (Facebook, Twitter) to attract more viewers.

Although abit ridiculous, but bravo!!!

I was on my Twitter and came across a profile of a familiar name and profile picture:

Ye Zhengkang on Twitter

On a closer look, he is actually the auntie character of Chen Hanwei in the lastest Channel 8 drama, Daddy at Home.

ABSURB???

Some may probably know now that Chen Hanwei plays a permed-haired stay-at-home daddy while his wife is the boss of a beauty salon, the sole breadwinner.

I think Chen Hanwei played the auntie role really well! Collecting supermarket coupons and cake baking classes with other auntie neighbours. WAHAHAA!

Okay, I was actually curious who would he follow on twitter and to my amazement, Liu Bang (another character in the drama) was there too!

Liu Bang's character is played by Li Nanxing who is of a traditional man, strongly believes that his wife must be a stay-home mum while he earns the dough. In the end he loses his job and joins the stay-home dad he despised.

Anyway, this is not the point of discussing the plot here but it just struck me as absurb and ridiculous that they are actually twittering in the name of these character who don't even exist in real life!!!

Even ridiculous is that people are actually communicating with these non-existing househusbands on Facebook!

BUAY TAHAN!!!

Indeed a clever strategy to grow viewers!
